Home > Parents > Before Attending Class

One of the most helpful tools we have found recently is the www.uptoparents.org website. This site offers an interactive education tool for parents which is extremely helpful prior to attending a TransParenting® seminar. In fact, some courts have started mandated completion of this website work before coming to a parenting class.

Completing the work at www.uptoparents.org allows adults the chance to visit the task of parenting from their perspective and develop a new focus on the parent/child relationship. It serves as a wonderful reminder that when a marriage or intimate partnership ends, we have choices as to how we are going to move through these difficult transitions. The outcome for our children and our families lay in the hands of adults…it is “Up To Parents.”

Uptoparents.org  is a free and interactive website that helps divorcing and divorced parents reduce conflict and focus on the true needs of their children.  Our TransParenting instructors recommend UpToParents.org and many court systems have mandated the website work because it has proven to be an effective pre-cursor to any parent-education program.

Parents have reported:

“Everybody says not to fight, but too many of us aren’t listening. This (website) let me rediscover the parent in me who wants to build peace for our children. It’s like a conversation with myself with the kids’ names inside it. It made all the difference.”  --parent

“Seeing some of these things in writing made me realize we need to get past our
problems and focus on our son. Parents can’t get to this soon enough.”  --parent

“I was skeptical when I knew I had to come to this website, but I am now very thankful I
did. What a wake-up call. I can see now how putting the kids first will help me most.”  --parent
